It takes quite a bit more preparation when having baby number two than it did with the first one. This time, we had to figure out where Carson would be while we were at the hospital. After making plans of bouncing him from one person to the next, we were ready to go to the hospital. We had an induction scheduled for 4 a.m. Holy moly that is so early! We later found out the one of the ladies in the room next to us had to be there at 3 a.m. so I guess we were lucky to get one more hour of sleep. I was really surprised that they got us back into a room and hooked up with patossin (however it is spelled) by 5 a.m. I was kind of expecting the labor to be quick because I seemed to progress faster than they thought I would with Carson. Once I reached a certain point, the labor was fast. It was so fast that we had to wait on the doctor. The nurse told me to do two practice pushes and then ordered me to stop. She frantically called the doctor and informed me I could not push anymore because she would get in trouble if she delivered the baby without the doctor there. That was the longest ten minutes of waiting. Two pushes later and Callie was born at 12:50 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. Both Callie and I are healthy and doing very well. Here are some pictures of her.
